First, we’d like to start by saying that ‘leftovers’ aren’t usually a problem, when you serve Sizzle King burgers. From our delicious flavors to the thick and satisfying all beef patty, our burgers are a favorite for families and outdoor fun.

But if you do have some leftover Sizzle King burgers, you can reheat them to serve the next day, or you can repurpose the all-beef patties into a sensational and delicious new meal, with less than thirty minutes of preparation (and almost no mess).   Our test kitchen shares some creative meal ideas using leftover Sizzle King beef burgers.

1. Beef Quesadilla

Serving Mexican quesadillas for your family, is a refreshing way to use those leftover cooked hamburgers, and it’s a fast and economical meal idea.  Simply crumble your cooked Sizzle King beef patties into your skillet (to the consistency of ground beef).

Then add:

·         1 can chopped green chili’s

·         ½ teaspoon of oregano

·         ¼ teaspoon of salt

·         ½ teaspoon ground cumin

·         Paprika to taste

Mix thoroughly in the skillet while reheating the beef.  Take large tortillas and brush them on one side with melted butter.  Add the seasoned beef mixture, and top with grated Mexican blend cheese.  Add one tortilla on top, and then heat in your oven at 475° for 10 minutes (or until lightly browned and crispy on the outside).  Cut and then serve.

We recommend using the Sizzle King Spicy Jalapeño or classic unseasoned beef patties for this recipe idea.

2. Stuffed Sweet Peppers

Create a healthy dinner, that everyone will love using leftover or freshly cooked Sizzle King beef patties (we recommend the classic unseasoned beef patties, Sweet Onion flavor, or our Spicy Jalapeño blend for an extra zesty kick!

Simply crumble the burgers into a skillet, and then add the following ingredients and Italian seasonings:

·         ½ cup yellow onion chopped

·         1 (16 ounce) can of diced tomatoes

·         1 cup of water

·         1 teaspoon of salt

·         1-2 teaspoons of basil pesto

·         1 teaspoon of garlic powder

Let ingredients cook simmer together for approximately 10 minutes on medium heat.  Then prepare ½ cup of long grain or black rice (extra fiber), and grate 1 cup of sharp cheddar or mozzarella.

Core your uncooked sweet yellow or green peppers and wash thoroughly.  Mix the hot ingredients from the skillet with the rice in a bowl.  Then stuff each pepper, and place in a 10 x 6 x 2 glass baking dish.  Bake on 350 degrees in the oven for about twenty-five minutes, covered with foil to retain moisture.  Then top each pepper with the grated cheese and return the dish to the oven for another 5-7 minutes, to melt the cheese.

When you have a busy schedule, shortcuts can add up to less time in the kitchen (and less mess).  Consider how you can use all of our delicious flavors, in creative new meal ideas for your family.
